they are de-icing planes at boston's logan and also experiencing moderate delays at chicago o'hare and philadelphia. about 1,000 flights. here at sfo, that's about 2 dozen flights that are either canceled or delayed coming from those locations at logan, philly, jfk and o'hare. but mostly with flights that are arriving from the northeast right now. the only departures that we're seeing that are affected are going to philly. of course, they canceled about 50 flights here at sfo last night. a lot of those people just stayed at the airport, didn't bother getting a hotel, slept here and are now getting on flights. so that's affecting a lot of people who are trying to get on an airplane right now. but the good news is that not a lot of departures are affecting the passengers for now. but we'll check on see. we talked to some people who spent the night at the airport and we'll have that coming up in the next half hour but for now, could be a worse here at sfo. lawrence karnow has the latest on the weather conditions all across the country and here in the bay area. here he is. >> yeah. i think we'll see a
